Welcome, I’m Edward. Thank you for visiting my site for the unhurried, independent, culture-hungry nomad and occasional traveler.
I am a baby boomer-aged nomad who thinks that he travels like a Millennial. I don’t know if that is true or important but I do know that whether I am in Tokyo, Paris, La Fortuna, Costa Rica, Dubrovnik, or Zanzibar, or Lis, I like to pretend that I am a native. I feel like the luckiest online college instructor in the world as I teach philosophy and the humanities from cafes, hotels, and AirBnBs. When I shut off my computer, I engage in what I call cultural espionage and other plein air adventures, mostly on lively streets, quiet museums, and historic sites.
Our world is filled with amazing museums, monuments, temples, restaurants, national parks, theaters, and other wonders. My site aims to provide the practical and the theoretical information and advice you need to plan and enrich your next travel adventure.
I have organized the site geographically.
“How to travel brilliantly: Develop these five senses” sums up my philosophy of travel. The post describes what I mean by “brilliant travel”. I hope it offers some tips on how you can travel more intentionally, more informed, and more prepared to explore, learn, and thrive.
Thank you again for visiting. I hope you see you again soon.
Travel brilliantly!
